October 22, 2024 13:30 Updated Problem You are executing a Self-Installation of a new version of your BOC product (ADONIS, ADOIT or ADOGRC) and wish to migrate all previous data and settings to the new instance. The basic migration procedure is described in the documentation of the new features of the respective BOC product version - the corresponding links can be found at the end of this page. However, the migration of webserver-side data and settings of your BOC product may require additional detailed instructions, which are described below. Important: Please note that the Apache Tomcat web server is required to run BOC products (ADONIS, ADOIT, ADOGRC). Apache Tomcat is not a BOC Group product, but third-party software. The BOC Group does not assume any responsibility for installation, configuration and maintenance of third party software. First install the latest Apache Tomcat and Java version compatible with your BOC Management Office product. Details on the requirement can be found in our online manual. Finally, you need to deploy the web application. Now you can migrate the files and settings below: Procedure for migrating web server-side data and settings Follow these steps to migrate important web server-side data and settings of your BOC product. Step Description 1. Stop Application Server and Web Server Services 2. Transfer the relevant settings for ADONIS, ADOGRC or ADOIT from \<Tomcat installation directory> \ webapps \<BOC Webclient product folder> \ adoxx_web.properties 3. Transfer any parametric deviation from a standard installation to the new web server (e.g. subsequent changes in \<Tomcat installation directory> \ webapps \<BOC web client product folder> \ WEB-INF \ web.xml) 4. Transfer the following folders and files from your existing BOC web client product folder to the new BOC web client product folder: BOC Web Client Product Folder Step Description 4.a. folder \<Tomcat installation directory> \ webapps \<BOC Webclient product folder> \ WEB-INF \ registry \ collaboration 4.b. General notes Please obtain the OpenJDK for your environment as a ZIP, to be able to run the new OpenJDK in parallel in case of an upgrade. This way, in case of an emergency, you still have the possibility to switch back to the old version to ensure uninterrupted operation. This also applies to your Apache Tomcat installation. Please store certificates away from the installation folder (e.g. C:\BOC\ADONIS\ or C:\BOC\Tomcat\ or C:\BOC\JAVA\ or C:\BOC\Certificates).
