How can I add a name to the System E-Mails?

When configuring System email notifications, you may want the From field to display a friendly name alongside the email address (e.g., ADONIS Organisation Portal <noreply@example.com>). This article explains how to set that up correctly.

Steps

  1. Open the email configuration settings in your ADO environment: Email Settings
  2. Locate the From field (sender address setting).
  3. Enter the display name followed by the email address using standard (straight) quotation marks. Use the following format:
    "ADONIS Organisation Portal" <noreply@example.com>
    Important: Use standard straight quotation marks ("), not curly/smart quotes. Curly quotes will cause the name to not be recognized correctly.
  4. Save the configuration.
  5. Restart your environment to apply the changes: Environment Settings

Additional Hints

  • If the display name does not appear after saving, verify that straight quotation marks were used.
  • After restarting the environment, send a test email to confirm the From field displays as expected.
