How do I export application components with attachments in ADOIT?

Scenario

You want to export Application Component records from ADOIT and include attachment details in the exported file. The new search experience does not display attachment entries for Application Components as search results, so a standard export from that view will not include attachment field columns.

Solution

Use the Classic Search to export Application Component data with attachment details. Follow these steps:

  1. Open ADOIT and switch to Classic Search.
  2. Set up your search query to return the Application Component objects you want to export.
  3. Once the results are displayed, select the Export Search and Analysis Results function.
  4. Choose one of the following export formats:
    • Excel (grouped with table attributes) - exports data grouped by object type, including table attribute columns.
    • Excel (current view with table attributes) - exports data as shown in the current view, including table attribute columns.
  5. Open the exported file. It will include columns that show the name of the attachment field for each Application Component.
